En la sede de la SC-SIECA, la señora Carmen Gisela Vergara secretaria de esta institución condecoró a Vinicio Cerezo, Ex Presidente de la República de Guatemala (1986-1991) y Presidente de la Fundación Esquipulas y con la Orden del Jaguar como un reconocimiento a su larga trayectoria por la defensa y promoción de la Integración regional.
El presidente Cerezo manifestó su agradecimiento, reiterando su compromiso con la región a través del liderazgo polÃtico, fortalecimiento a la institucionalidad regional a través de la Fundación Esquipulas.
