El Ex presidente de Guatemala Vinicio Cerezo (1986-1991) y Presidente de Fundación Esquipulas, participó en la toma de posesión del Presidente de Nicaragua Daniel Ortega, y Vice Presidenta Rosario Murillo, realizada en la Plaza de la Revolución.
El Ex Presidente Cerezo catalogó al mismo como un proceso histórico en la región y extendió una cordial felicitación al pueblo nicaragüense.
